About the Artist

Drea Astrero is an artist, who works in a wide variety of mediums with a focus on nature as subject matter. She draws inspiration from two primary sources: nature and music. Growing up in the north Georgia mountains, she felt drawn to the natural scenery of mountains, rivers, and forests which sparked her imagination. Additionally, nearly every genre of music she encountered stirred her imagination, pushing her to capture those images on paper whenever possible.

In 2016, she received her BA in Art Therapy at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. She was a participant in the Converse College Art Club’s Juried Art Exhibition in April 2015 and presented her senior exhibition, Pathways of Life, in the spring of 2016. After a year of graduate school, she decided to leave university to pursue her goal of becoming a professional artist. In the 2021 Contemporary Art Gallery Online's ALL Water/Seascape Exhibition, she placed first in the Paintings and Drawing Category.

Drea was born and raised in Blairsville, Georgia. She currently resides in Marietta, GA with her loving husband, Anthony, and her beautiful son, Ezekiel. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys reading books, listening to a variety of music genres, and baking.
